MENLYN MAINE
Menlyn Maine Investment Holdings (Pty) Ltd was established in 2008 as a development and investment vehicle to develop what is now known as the Menlyn Maine precinct in Pretoria. Menlyn Maine is a 16 hectare site in Menlyn, Pretoria which comprises approximately 315 000m2 of mixed-use commercial rights. The project value is in excess of R9 billion.
Menlyn Maine is the first Green City precinct to be developed in South Africa. It is regarded as the new CBD of Pretoria and currently approximately 140 000m2 of development is either complete or under construction. The shareholders in Menlyn Maine Investment Holdings (Pty) Ltd are Ice Finance, Equity Estates, Absa Bank, Kgwara Investments and the Government Employees Pension Fund (represented by the Public Investment Corporation)
The objective of the company is to become a significant developer and investor of mixed-use precincts in Southern Africa. The development of the new 65 000m2 Ballito Junction regional mall is the first development for the company outside of the greater Gauteng region, which is currently under construction.
BARROW PROPERTIES
Barrow Properties forms part of the Barrow Group, which has a proud tradition in the Johannesburg construction and property industry. Founded in 1897, the company is now run by the 5th generation of family members who all have significant experience in their respective areas of expertise.
Barrow Properties has been responsible for numerous sectional title office developments over the last 10 years. These have been very successful and have enabled investors/purchasers to benefit from strong capital appreciation. Numerous of these purchasers have invested in more than one of our sectional title developments, thereby building up a portfolio of properties.
Amongst the better known sectional title developments are Katherine & West in Sandton, 5 Fricker Road in Illovo and 1&3 Melrose Boulevard in Melrose Arch.
